Drinking water makes you healthy

Water and You

Most of the times when we go out to grab a bite at a restaurant or lodge, the first thing crossing peoples minds is having a drink of beer, soft drink or wine. Not that these are bad things in themselves but the thing is, we shouldnt ignore how much better it would be for the all of us to pay attention to the most important liquid to our bodies......Yes you guessed right WATER. As the saying goes, water is life.....You see, most countries all over the world have access to water, but quit frankly few people usually put it on first priority over beers, soft drinks or other beverages. Ofcourse its understandable because having a beverage is much more interesting than just drinking water. Besides some would argue that anything liquid contains some water in it. Well heres some advice for you, you need to drink pure water daily. Lets briefly understand what water is shall we.

The liquid that sustains us

Water is composed of hydrogen and hydroxyl ions to make up the unique molecule we know today called water. The molecular formula for water is H2O. You know water is such a unique, wonderfully made beautiful liquid and you would be a fool to think it was just a product of an explosion. Besides that, water has certain qualities that I found so breathtaking. Heres some good advice read on;

Expansion; Water is one of those compounds that expands when it freezes. How is this important? in the cold regions of the world when water freezes in rivers, the ice floats ontop of the water below it because it becomes less dense. This is important for supporting life

High evaporation point; Water has a very high heat of evaporation point which allows for evaporative cooling of plants and animals which would otherwise overheat because of the sun.

Conductivity; Water is a poor conductor of heat which prevents living things from overheating or freezing

Unique Strength; The unique dielectric strength of water allows livining organisms to transport minerals to other parts of the body needing it.

Some of these wonderful qualities makes water so important to the human body. If you have read your biology adequately, you know precisely that every human being needs about 1.5 litres of water everyday. The human body is made up of 60% water and every drop of water does matter to us. How important is water to our human body? Well firstly, it serves as a temperature regulator to our bodies. Then secondly, it sustains cell life which is cardinal to our survival and then thirdly it acts as a transporter of nutrients. Now, when you just look at clean pure water, it is really beautiful to look at. Unfortunately, despite the fact that this world has plenty of water some people dont have access to it. Heres some good advice for you, we need to use water wisely in our homes, at schools and at work. Here are some good advice tips to conserving water.

1. Check for leaks anywhere in the vicinity e.g toilets, pipes to the sink
2. Avoid leaving the water running when brushing teeth or washing dishes
3. Take shorter showers
4. Teach your kids on how to conserve water usage

Drinking water everyday

It is always important to drink water regularly. Sometimes we tend to take it for granted on just how important water is to our bodies. You can improve the health of your brain, kidneys and other organs in the body if you drink water regularly. So whenever you go for a burger, instead of always asking for a soda...why not try a glass of water sometimes. Thats definitely some good advice.
