7 tips to being a real gentleman

When you go for a date, you really have to understand that there is no room for mistakes and if you do actually make a mistake, make it seem it wasn't a mistake. Being a gentleman is all about being a man who is chivalrous, courteous and honorable and that's what a potential husband should actually be like.

1. Open the door; When your date is about to enter the restaurant or come out of the vehicles door, be a gentleman and open the door for her. It doesn't have to be all the time but the point is, you want to show how courteous you really are.

2. Pay for the bill; You know, it is a well known fact that each time you go on a date usually the man should pay for the bill. Now, there are certain instances when some ladies just want to pay for their own food but here's some good advice for you....Don't let them do it. Politely but firmly mention that you are going to handle the bill because that's what being a true gentleman really means.

3. Don't be too Aggressive; Whenever you are having a discussion during your date, don't be too aggressive. What does this mean? keep the atmosphere comfortable for the both of you and don't keep firing complicated and boring questions which will just make the occasion so difficult. Have a few laughs and enjoy the occasion naturally.

4. Eat Properly; The aim of such an occasion is not to eat food or show how much of an appetite you have for your favorite dish. The aim of your date is to get to know each other, so first things first you have to order something light that will let you talk. And when you eat, try to eat properly.

5. Be attentive; When you are having a conversation, listen attentively to everything she has to say without unnecessary interrupting her. Show that you are actually listening by nodding your head and looking into her eyes.

6. Commend her; You will be a true gentleman if you commend your date for her good qualities which you have observed now or sometime ago. If during the discussion she has made some outstanding achievements, give her a commendation.

7. Give some Flowers; This is by far what most true gentlemen do, ofcourse if you don't want to you don't have to. You can buy her flowers and give it to her just at the beginning of the date or after the date concludes. Flowers is a warm way of being affectionate.
